Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 11, 2026

Personal Health Inspector uses a small number of cookies. This page explains what they are and why we use them.

Strictly necessary cookies

We set one HTTP-only session cookie when you log in, so the app knows who you are on each request. It's required for the app to function — without it, you can't stay signed in. It's marked secure in production and scoped with SameSite protection, and it never contains health information, only a signed session token.

Analytics cookies

If Google Analytics is enabled for this deployment (it's an optional, environment-controlled setting — see our Privacy Policy), Google Analytics sets its own cookies to distinguish visitors and measure coarse usage like page views. These cookies never carry health information — see the Analytics section of our Privacy Policy for the specific rule we enforce around that. If analytics is disabled, no analytics cookies are set at all.

What we don't do

We don't use third-party advertising cookies, and we don't sell or share cookie data for targeted advertising.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking the session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in.
